Democrats Admit They Forget About Taxpayers, Unless It's An Election Year
Last night, Alabama Democrat Party Chairman Joe Turnham made a promise to Alabamians that Democrats are ready to work harder than they have in many years to earn the trust of the citizens saying:
“We are ready to fight and plan to work harder and with more passion than we have in many years to earn the trust, support and votes of a majority of our citizens.” Joe Turnham (click here for release)
By this statement alone, the Alabama Democrat Party is fully admitting that they have fallen asleep at the wheel and forgotten about the citizens of Alabama. Amazingly, with the ALGOP’s aggressive push to take a majority in the Legislature, the Alabama Democrats have gotten a jolt of energy and are now ready to earn the trust of Alabamians. The Alabama Democrat Party has failed the people as the majority in the Legislature, they forgot about the people and fell into bed with the special interest groups.
The Alabama Republican Party has always, and will always, fight and work to gain and keep the trust of Alabamians. After 136 years of control, Alabama Democrats are out of touch with taxpayers – see 62% pay raise. Maybe that’s the vote when they weren’t working as hard to earn the trust, support and votes of a majority of the citizens – considering it was 3 ½ years away from an election.
This statement by the head of the Democrat Party speaks volumes about the Democrat philosophy…forget about the taxpayers for 3 ½ years, then fight passionately – and say anything – to get votes. The proof is in the pay raise and Alabama just can’t afford another “relapse” when Democrats forget about them.
