Even Democrats Admit Democrat Leadership in Montgomery is a Failure

Birmingham, AL – An article by Bob Blalock appearing in Sunday’s Birmingham News” reveals that even Democrats are now admitting that the Democrat majority has failed the people of Alabama.  Blalock’s piece quotes Democrat State Representative Patricia Todd and states:

[Rep. Patricia] Todd blames her own party, specifically the Democrat leadership in the Senate, for many failures. “I think the Senate is a major problem. They (Democrats) have a lock on the process.

Todd says she doesn’t see much changing “without a total overhaul in the leadership.” (Blalock, Birmingham News, April 12, 2010, full article HERE)

Rep. Mike Hubbard (R-Auburn), Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party, noted the significance of a Democrat admitting that their own party has failed the people:

"I agree with Representative Todd and believe her sentiment echoes that of a majority of Alabamians,” Hubbard said. “People can look at what the Democrat majority has promised year after year but have never delivered. Voters are tired of being lied to and I am confident they will let their voices be heard in November.

“Democrats have controlled the Alabama Legislature for 136 years and during that time the will of the people has taken a back seat to special interest groups. Republicans are ready to put the power back into the hands of the people and by voting to give the Republican Party the majority, we can begin moving Alabama forward, in a responsible and conservative manner.”
