Whaley Campaign Caught Stealing, ALGOP Calls on Whaley to Return Stolen Property

Jacksonville, Al – With the House District 40 general election just a couple of weeks away, Democrat Ricky Whaley’s campaign has become so desperate that they have resorted to gutter politics. On Saturday, in Piedmont, volunteers for the K.L. Brown campaign witnessed family members of Ricky Whaley trespassing on private property and stealing Brown signage.

The attached images show a white Toyota pick up truck that was driven by Whaley’s relatives, and in the back of the truck, one of the stolen signs can be seen.

“It is disappointing and troubling that the Whaley campaign would steal to try and gain an advantage in this election,” said K.L. Brown. “I vow to the people of House District 40 that our campaign will be run honestly and truthfully, we will not break the law in an effort to win an election.”

Rep. Mike Hubbard (R-Auburn), Chairman of the Republican Party, called for Whaley to return the stolen property in person to K.L. Brown.

“We call on Ricky Whaley to publicly apologize for the actions of his campaign and to return the stolen property immediately,” Hubbard said. “The individuals driving the white Toyota pick-up committed crimes, and Whaley should release the names of these campaign operatives as well.”

“It’s a shame that Ricky Whaley’s campaign is so desperate to get elected that they would resort to stealing, the people of Calhoun County deserve honest representation,” Hubbard added.
