ALGOP: Memorial Day Offers Symbolic Reminder Ahead of Primary Election
Birmingham, AL – With the 2010 Primary Elections on the horizon, the Alabama Republican Party honors those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
Rep. Mike Hubbard (R-Auburn), Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party noted the symbolism of having an election the day after Memorial Day:
“Memorial Day should be a strong reminder of how important it is for each and every American to put their right to vote above all else on any election day,” Hubbard said. “The brave men and women who sacrificed their lives fighting for the freedoms we enjoy today are the only reason that our open elections are possible.”
“We join with all Alabamians today to honor those who died fighting for our rights, and we encourage voters to exercise their right to vote in tomorrow’s Primary Election,” Hubbard added.
