Good Morning, Democrats – Tuesday, April 14, 2009
Birmingham, AL – When “Good Morning, Democrats” started, a year ago this week, the purpose was simple: to point out your failure to lead as the majority in Montgomery. Unfortunately for the people of Alabama, the deficiencies in your ability to lead still exist, as will “Good Morning, Democrats.”
This year, your majority is offering more of the same failed leadership in Montgomery. From a disingenuous bill to replace grocery taxes with a mass tax increase on the very people who create jobs in this State, to critical legislation addressing whether or not a man’s name should be put back on a dome - your motives are bad and your view of important issues is worse – after 113 years of your leadership, Alabamians deserve better.
So as long as your leadership style is punitive to those who cross you, but not productive for those who pay you, we will address your failures, bemoan your ethical standards, bash your tax hikes and recount your fat pay raises…that is, until the dawn of a new day in Alabama - Wednesday, November 10, 2010.
