All qualifying fees are non-refundable.
🇺🇸 Federal Offices (U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives)
- Complete and return the Declaration of Candidacy form and qualifying fee to ALGOP.
- Submitting your online qualification form serves as your signature and acknowledgment that you have fully read and understand its contents.
- Visit the Federal Election Commission (FEC) website for required federal documentation and reporting.
🏛️ State Offices (State Constitutional Officers, Legislature, and Judiciary)
- Complete and return the Declaration of Candidacy form and qualifying fee to ALGOP. Online submission of this form serves as your signature and acknowledgment of full understanding.
- File your Statement of Economic Interests with the Alabama Ethics Commission — either online or by mail:

Failure to submit on time may result in disqualification. - Judicial candidates only must also file a Disclosure Statement of Financial Interests with the Clerk of the Alabama Supreme Court within ten (10) days of qualifying.
📅 Compliance & Reporting
- Consult with legal counsel to ensure full compliance with election laws.
- Review all pre-election reporting deadlines and file campaign finance reports as required once fundraising thresholds are met.
- A copy of the Alabama Fair Campaign Practices Act is available from ALGOP or the Secretary of State’s office.
- File all Financial Committee and Dissolution forms in a timely manner to avoid penalties or disqualification.
